Stopped by on our way to Lawrence and what an amazing restaurant! Got there 230pm past the lunch rush, great service, delicious food, very kid friendly. Love that it's family owned and operated. A must if you are in the kansas city, Lawrence, tonganoxie area
First time visit with family. I had the Spicy Diablo Burger; it was cooked perfectly and served hot. Packed with flavor and just the right amount of heat. Their beer selection was solid, too, with plenty of great options on tap. Service was friendly and right on time. Never felt rushed, but we were never left waiting either. The atmosphere really stood out as an authentic Kansas feel with character in every corner. The wide plank wood floors (we joked they were from 1866) added charm, and the soft lighting made it feel cozy and relaxed. There’s a big dining area and even a private room if you’re planning something special. I’ll definitely be back.
We had a large party 20 on a Saturday afternoon and they accommodated us great. Everyone enjoyed their food, came out timely and the service was exceptional. Me personally I’m a fanatic of cubanos and it was great. Would definitely go there again.

A pleasant lunch experience, good service and the food was fresh prepared and exactly as ordered. The wait staff and owner were very happy to answer questions and all seemed to be enjoying being there, kind of rare these days.
Had chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. First bite of CFS, it's ok. Second bite. It's not bad. 3rd bit...hmm this is pretty good. Flavor is subtle and takes a few bites before you really start to appreciate the flavor and tenderness. Would get again if I pass this way again.
Treasure in Tonganoxie. Great food and even better service. We were very pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant of this quality in Tonganoxie(no disrespect intended). Party of 10 and everyone was very happy with their choices. We will definitely eat here again if in the neighborhood.
This restaurant is the definition of being an excellent taste, with excellent price and with an increible environment. It is located in a quite antique building that gives the place a very unique feeling. The food is simply spectacular and the service is incredibly friendly and familiar. Please, if you are in KC, this place is worth the 30 min drive. They have a unique special dish everyday and it is delightful and hardly ever repeats.
